LED Node
€4.50 - €45.00The LED Node is essentially the combination of a JeeNode, MOSFET Plugs, and the Room Board - in a narrow 18 x 132 mm form factor, making it fit in-line with standard RGB LED strips.
The LED Node uses through-hole parts, making it easy to assemble. It includes the ATmega328, the RFM12B wireless module, 3 powerful MOSFETs able to easily drive at least 5 meter of RGB LED strips (even with 60 LEDs per meter), and the option to connect an SHT11 temp/humidity sensor, an LDR sight sensor, and/or a PIR motion sensor board. The 4-pin connector at the end matches the connections of standard RGB common-anode strips.
The LED Node takes its power from the regulated 12V supply and also passes it on to the LEDs.
Note that the LED Node does not have the JeeNode's "ports", although 4 I/O pins (PC2..PC5) are unused and available on the board. Note also that the MOSFET drivers are tied to I/O pins which support hardware PWM to support flicker-free dimming of each color.
The LED Node Base Kit contains the ATmega, RFM12B wireless module, 3 power-MOSFETs, and all the other parts needed to build a LED Node which can be controlled over wireless and will drive RGB common-anode LED strips (not included). It does not contain any sensors, i.e. no SHT11, LDR, or PIR.
The LED Node Sensor Kit contains all of the above as well as the SHT11 temp/humidity sensor and the LDR, but no PIR motion sensor.
Kits are shipped with the ISM-band 868 MHz radio module as used in Europe.
The PCB only variant is the bare board without any components. You’ll need to add your own components to create a working LED Node.
