The Overlap Dip Treated 6x4 Reverse Apex Shed from Forest is an excellent storage solution for keeping clutter, such as gardening equipment or kid’s outdoor games, neatly tidied away. The reverse apex roof allows the interior space to be used to its greatest storage potential. The shed’s improved design includes smaller sections, making it easier to handle and quick to assemble. The straight cut boards use an overlap construction, which allows flexibility and natural movement of the timber during the changing seasons. The Dip Treatment gives this 6x4 shed a 10-year guarantee against rot, annual retreatment is required. With more timber, increased framing gives a strong and long-lasting building -these are the best overlap sheds we’ve ever made. The shed door is braced with double “Z” framing for rigidity. The door is hung with secure hidden hinges and is fitted with a hasp and staple latch that can be padlocked (padlock not included). The door can be hinged on either side. The roof is made from hard-wearing sheet material finished with black sand felt. Rather than the more common OSB, this shed features a Pressure Treated solid timber floor. Its superior strength allows for the storage of heavier items like lawnmowers or bags of compost. The two fixed windows are made from shatterproof PET glazing, which will not become yellow or brittle over time. This flexible shed is made up of modular sections where same size panels are interchangeable, the door can be hung to the left or the right of the shed to suit your garden. These great value garden sheds are manufactured in the UK using FSC certified timber and come with all fixtures, fittings and felt needed to build, along with easy to follow instructions. We are sorry but Forest Garden do not deliver or offer an assembly service to the following Postal Codes: BT1-BT99, GY1-GY9, HS1-HS9, IM1-IM9, IV41-IV56, JE1-JE5, KA27-KA28, KW15-KW17, PO30-PO41, PO49, TR21-TR25. Installation Process We also offer an installation service on selected products. So, if you’d rather take a back seat when it comes to building, don’t worry. Our assembly service means your new purchase is in safe hands and you can leave all the hard work and heavy lifting to us. After you have booked in your delivery, you will be contacted separately to arrange a suitable installation date. This will usually be carried out by our own expert fitting team. However, depending on your location or purchase, we may use a third-party company. Some products, such as the Vale Greenhouses, Gazebos and Retreat Sheds, offer installation on the same day as delivery. For most products, however, delivery and installation will be arranged separately. Installation is typically within 7-10 days of delivery, however at certain times of the season and depending on postcode this can increase to 3-4 weeks, please check with your retailer when ordering. Upon delivery of your product, it is important to check all parts and sections to ensure everything is present. If there are any shortages or damaged parts, please contact us and we will ensure the required parts are supplied before the installation team arrive. If a job is aborted because the item has not been checked there will be a further charge to rebook. Ideally, store the product as close to the assembly location as possible with the sections laid flat and cover the roof and floor sheets where practical. We do offer the service of installing in your absence as long as you have side access. We do need written consent and clear instructions on the position of the shed. On the day of Installation please ensure: - There is a suitable solid level base prepared before the installers arrive on the day. If you require advice on building a base, please see our base preparation letter for guidance. Should the job be aborted due to an unsuitable base, there is likely to be a revisit charge. - The area for the build is unobstructed. The installation team require at least 18 inches around the whole building. Therefore, please ensure there are no obstacles that may hinder the installation such as other garden buildings, fish ponds or structures. Please make sure all vegetation is cut back prior to the installers arriving to allow for a successful build. Also, please make sure the garden is free of any trip hazards such as children’s toys, tools, etc. We also ask that any pet waste has been cleared from the garden. - You have requested permission from your neighbours for our assembly team’s access if required. - There is suitable access to the installation site without having to enter your property. We are not insured to carry items through your property. If you do not have suitable access then you will have to arrange for the items to be moved to the site of installation prior to the fitters arriving. - There are adequate parking facilities for the assembly team’s vehicle and any necessary parking permits have been secured. - There is access to power at the site (our installation teams carry extension cables). - There is someone at the property for the entire time of the installation. This is particularly important so the installers can check you are happy with the siting of the product prior to the commencement of installation, and for the installers to familiarise you with your new building after the build is complete.
